He debuted with an exclusive interview of none other than legendary composer R.D.Burman (Pancham) after he won his first Filmfare Award for Sanam Teri Kasam. He considers Panchamda as his "guru" since he inspired him to continue with his journalist passion. On stage, the director duo Farah Khan and Karan Johar were the masters of ceremony. They brought on their camaraderie and entertained the audience with their wit and humor! Highlights of the evening were the enthralling performances by the super-stars themselves. The most exciting was the soon-to-be-wed Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza enacting their love story of their meeting and romantic journey that has brought them to this juncture. Along with many other spell-binding performances and other stars joining in the barat, this was truly a prelude to their wedding celebrations. King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan performed on an act to remember around the theme of his latest movie 'Don 2'. A special act has been designed with Shiamak Davar and his troupe to pay tribute to iconic stars like Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu, Shashi Kapoor, Dr. Vyjanthimala Bali, Waheeda Rehman, Asha Parekh, Manoj Kumar, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, Vinod Khanna, Zeenat Aman, Rajesh Khanna, Hema Malini to name a few. Shahrukh hosted the segment and spoke to the legends about the centenary celebrations. Amisha Patel mesmerized the audiences with a scintillating performance on hit item numbers 'Chikni Chameli', 'Ooh La La' and 'Madhubala'. This is a list of awards, honours and recognitions of Rajesh Khanna. Khanna was an Indian Hindi film actor. He won four Best Actor Awards in the Bengal Film Journalists' Association Awards, and received 25 nominations. He won three Filmfare Best Actor Awards, one Filmfare Special Guest Actor Award in 1973, and received a Filmfare Special Award in 1991, after 25 years in the Hindi film industry. He received the Filmfare Life Time Achievement Award at the 50th anniversary Filmfare award ceremony in 2005.

He was posthumously awarded the Padma Bhushan, India's third highest civilian award, in 2013.
